Financials
Transparency builds trust. Here is how we steward every gift.
Our commitment to transparency
Donors, partners and the community deserve to know how Right L.A.N.E. is funded and how those funds are used. This page explains our approach to stewarding every gift responsibly.
Annual reports and filings
We will post our annual reports and, where required, our IRS Form 990 filings on this page as they become available. Until a report is posted here, you may request the most recent financial information at rightlane.initiative@gmail.com and we will respond as promptly as we can.
How we use funds
We direct contributions toward our mission and the programs that carry it out. Our guiding principles are:
- Programs first. We aim to put the greatest possible share of every dollar into our programs and the people they serve.
- Responsible overhead. We keep administrative and fundraising costs lean, and spend them only where they strengthen our ability to serve.
- Board oversight. Our board of directors reviews the budget and financial reports and holds the organization accountable for how funds are used.
- Honored intent. If you give for a specific purpose and we agree to it in writing, we use your gift for that purpose.
Governance and accountability
Right L.A.N.E. is led by a board of directors, who are expected to act in the organization’s best interest, avoid conflicts of interest, and keep accurate financial records. You can meet them on our board page.
Donations and receipts
We provide a written acknowledgment for every gift on request, and we send donation receipts for gifts made online. Whether a gift is tax-deductible depends on our tax-exempt status and your own circumstances, so please consult a tax professional. See our Terms of Use for our donation policies, and our Privacy Policy for how we protect donor information. We do not sell or share donor lists.
Questions about our finances
We welcome questions. Email rightlane.initiative@gmail.com and a member of our team will get back to you.
